M.I.A.C. August Athletes of the Month

Southfield Christian School

Caleb Schoon, Southfield Christian, Senior, Soccer

Caleb has brought strong senior leadership to a young soccer team.  The midfielder scored his 1st goal of the season in a 5-1 win over Hazel Park early this season and he will play a prominent role for the team this year.

Sydnee Stringer, Southfield Christian, Senior, Volleyball

Sydnee has helped her team capture the silver division championship at the Oakland Christian Tournament.  She has been the team’s primary setter leading the team in assists and has also been the team’s strongest server.  She had a season high 9 aces in the team’s victory over Academy of the Sacred Heart.

 

Huron Valley Lutheran High School

Jakob Oetzel, Huron Valley Lutheran, Senior, Soccer & Cross Country

In the month of August,  Senior Jakob Oetzel has been pulling double duty for the Hawks.   He is the top boys runner on the Cross Country team, and a  starter on the boys Soccer team.

 

The Roeper School

Aiden Song, The Roeper School, Senior, Soccer

Aiden Song is leading the Roughriders in scoring over the first four games in August finding the back of the net 8 times already.

 

 

Plymouth Christian Academy

Madi Hare, Plymouth Christian Academy, Freshman, Cross Country
Madi has had a great start to her cross country career at PCA with sub 22  and 23 minute times in both the Lamplighter Invite and Mustang Invite. Great Job Madi!
Ray Weber, Plymouth Christian Academy, Junior, Soccer
Ray has played great to start the 2022 season! In the teams 4 games, Ray has 5 goals and 2 assists which has helped the eagles to a 3-1 record in the month of August.

Hunter Nysen has been a dedicated four year member of the varsity football team.  He is a true servant leader who puts the needs of the team above his own.  Hunter has been a captain for the past two years.  His determination to be successful is an inspiration to his team.

Jordan Vescio displays positive sportsmanship with her teammates and as she cheers on Parkway athletics.  She encourages all around her and seeks to build up the school community.
