Lutheran Northwest Girls’ Basketball
The Lutheran Northwest Crusaders girls basketball team had a season to remember. The Crusaders went undefeated in the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference (MIAC) Blue Division, securing the conference championship. Their momentum carried into the postseason, where they claimed both district and regional titles. This marked the second consecutive year the Crusaders advanced to the MHSAA Final Four. For the first time in program history, the team advanced to the state championship game. The Crusaders finished as state runners-up, capping off a remarkable year with an overall record of 21-7.
Inter-City Baptist Boys’ Basketball
Inter-City Baptist boys’ basketball had another great season. The Chargers went 10-0 in the Blue MIAC Conference, capturing the first conference championship since 2004! The IC boys continued to make a run in the playoffs all the way to the Final Four. This would make back-to-back years that the varsity boys’ team has made it to the Final Four. The Chargers finished their season with a 24-4 record.
