M.I.A.C. May Athletes of the Month

The Roeper School

AJ Owens – Sophomore – Track

He has lead the boys in distance running this year and will be participating in the 3200m run at the MHSSA State Finals.

Natalie Gibbs – Freshman – Soccer

Natalie Gibbs with 4 goals and 4 assists just this month. Natalie’s last second free kick goal secured Roeper’s victory over Cheryl Stockwell and by doing that, she secured Roeper’s conference title!

 

Whitmore Lake

Natalie Meadows – Sophomore – Track

MIAC 3200m League Champion, Regional Champion in 3200m, Regional runner-up in 1600m, State final meet Qualifier in the 1600m and 3200m.

 

Alex Di Dio – Junior- Baseball

(4.05 GPA) has been our leader both on and off the field during the month of May. Coming up with big hit after big hit, making all-star caliber defensive plays, and motivating his teammates every step of the way. Month of May: AVG .419, OBP .527, SLG .651, OPS .1.178, 11 1B, 6 2B, 3 3B, 1 HR, 10 RBI, 13 R, 6 BB, 8 SB

 

Plymouth Christian Academy

Caleb Quick – Sophomore – Golf

Caleb had a great month of May being named 1st Team All-Conference for golf and qualifying for the MHSAA State Match, scoring a 79 in the MHSAA Regional. Caleb is the first PCA golfer to qualify for states since 2009. Great Job Caleb!

 

Maddie Yeager – Junior- Softball

Maddie has made a big impact on the PCA softball program this year. Her pitching, hitting, and fielding have all been stellar and she leads most stat categories on the team. Great job Maddie!

 

Southfield Christian School

Bobby Davis – Senior – Track & Field

Bobby is a 4 year varsity member of the track and field team.  This season he has broken his own personal best in shot put numerous times.  In May he had two 1st place finishes including winning the Warrior Invite.  He was 2nd at the MHSAA Regional qualifying him for the MHSAA State Meet.  Currently, he was one of the ten best throwers in school history.

 

Kendyll Martin – Senior – Track & Field

Kendyll has burned up the track over the past month with personal best times in the 100 and 200 meters this season.  She captured the MHSAA Regional and MIAC Conference titles in both events and medaled in the 200 meters at the Oakland County Championships.  She also anchored the 4×2 and 4×1 relay teams to Regional and Conference titles.  She will compete in all four events at the MHSAA State Finals and comes in with the fastest 100 meter time run in Division IV this spring.

 

Lutheran Westland

Jack Ellis – Senior – Baseball

Jack has been the leader of the team, both at the front of the batting order and through his character. Jack excelled in a shortened May due to injury with 13 hits, 6 walks, score 14 runs, and get 9 RBI’s in just 7 games played for the Warrior Baseball Team. Jack’s batting average through this time was 0.684 while posting a 0.784 on base. Incredible numbers from this senior.

Jenna Boye – Sophomore – Soccer and Track and Field

From her soccer coach: Jenna is a leader on and off the field while leading the team with assists and second in goals.

From her track coach: State Qualifier in 3 Individual events

Jenna has maintained a positive attitude throughout this busy spring, while also encouraging her sophomore friends to try soccer for the first team this season.
