October 5, 2021: The 2nd MIAC Jamboree, run at Spencer Park in Rochester Hills led to some fast times at the conference meet. Once again the Lutheran NW girls took 1st and the Whitmore Lake boys increased the gap between 2nd place to have a more dominant jamboree victory. Individually, there was a shift at the top of the leader boards as Mackenzie Lemke from Lutheran NW won the girls’ race in 19:30 followed closely by Erika Van Loton from Huron Valley Lutheran in 19:37. Eliza Kieth from Oakland Christian entered the top 3 finishing in 19:46. On the boys’ side, Cole Rinna from Whitmore Lake moved up from 3rd to 1st finishing in 17:36 while Tom Shafer from Lutheran Westland finished 2nd again in 18:01. New to the top 3 was TJ Donnan from Southfield Christian finishing in 18:07. The conference cross country season will wrap up on Tuesday, October 19 when Whitmore Lake hosts the conference championship starting at 5 PM.
