MIAC October Athletes of the Month

Tyler Kowalski, Sophomore, Southfield Christian, Cross Country

Kowalski dropped almost 2 minutes off his time in October running his best time of 17:55at the MHSAA Regional meet to place 17th.  He placed 5th at the MIAC Conference Final to earn 1st Team All MIAC Honors.  Kowalski also medaled at the Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard Invite.

Irena Thomas, Freshman, Roeper, Volleyball

“Freshmen Outside Hitter Irena Thomas currently leads the Varsity team with 16 recorded aces this season. She helped secure a silver place win at the Roeper tournament with a 9-serve run, including 5 aces. Her tenacity on the court both at practice and during games makes her a valuable asset to Roeper Volleyball.”
Autumn Cramb, Senior, Huron Valley Lutheran, Volleyball

Senior Autumn Cramb has been an essential part of the Hawks volleyball team. She has served the ball 291 times with only 6 errors and 28 aces.  She has also set the ball 1703 times with only 20 errors and 368 assists.  She also has 108 digs.  Autumn comes to practice with a positive attitude every day and a strong work ethic.
