MIAC December Athletes of the Month

Kaitlyn Vallimont, Sophomore, Clarenceville HS, Basketball

Kaitlyn is currently leading the team in scoring with 29 points. She is also leading the team in rebounds. Kaitlyn dominates the boards offensively and defensively. She is a hard worker and gives her all while she is on the court. Kaitlyn currently has a 3.7 GPA and is a great leader. She is an excellent example of what a student athlete should be.

Ti’Syn Callahan, Sophomore, Southfield Christian, Basketball

Callahan has helped the Lady Eagle Basketball team to a 4-1 start by averaging a team high 21.6 points a game. She had a season high 27 points connecting on 5 3 pointers in a 53-22 victory over Melvindale on December 16.

Kristina Peach, Whitmore Lake, Basketball

The varsity girls’ basketball team has started 3-1.  In those four games, Peach has scored 17, 18, 27 and 26 points.  She also managed to pull down 13 rebounds in a road game vs. Ann Arbor Greenhills.

 

Madelyn Turner, Senior, Parkway Christian, Basketball

Madelyn Turner is a senior co-captain on the varsity girls basketball team. This is her third year on the varsity team. Madelyn is also the senior editor of the high school yearbook and helps to lead worship for school chapels. She will leave for a week in January on a missions trip to Nicaragua to work at feeding centers and host a camp for children in need.

Jada Coburn, Junior, Roeper, Basketball

Captain Jada Coburn is off to a hot start this year averaging 10 points per game and 8 rebounds in Roeper’s first three games.

 

Anna Fernandez, Sophomore, Plymouth Christian, Basketball

Annika Van Loton, Huron Valley Lutheran High School,  Junior Varsity Girls Basketball

Annika has been a great contributor on the both the offensive and defensive sides of the court to start the basketball season.  Coming off the bench for the Hawks,  in the last 3 games Annika has averaged  12.7 points per game,  shooting 55% from the floor,  6.3 rebounds per game, and all most 2 steals per game.  Currently, the Hawks have a 2-3 record.
